Caring for Your Cabinets: The Basics

Wood, being a natural product has varied colour and grain pattern, which makes every cabinet component beautiful, and unique in its own way. Colour variances in the finished product are considered normal and totally acceptable. All wood products change in reaction to environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and sunlight. Wood will expand with increasing ambient humidity and conversely contract when the humidity decreases. Ideally, humidity levels within the home should be maintained at 40-50% throughout the year.

Additional care should be exercised when self-cleaning appliances are being used as they create a great deal of heat during the cleaning process. Since, there is a chance that heat may escape through door seals or gaskets, we recommend you either pull your oven out approximately eight inches or remove doors and drawers that are directly beside the appliance while using the self-cleaning feature.

Before using any cleaner, carefully read the label and test in a hidden area before cleaning the remaining cabinet surfaces.

Warranty does NOT cover any products that have been exposed to prolonged temperatures of 40° C (140° F) or higher.
